Sykes Pumps support regeneration project in Derbyshire

<![CDATA[Sykes Pumps were recently involved in a regeneration project in Derbyshire. A £35 million pound transformation of a Grade I listed building is taking place within an iconic crescent. The project will deliver a luxury 5* spa hotel, a visitor centre, a natural mineral water thermal spa and several shops. Construction was taking place in the basement of the building where the new hotels kitchen will be located. Sykes Pumps were required to control the flow of water from a local spring to prevent flooding, yet ensure a minimum water flow was maintained to prevent the ground foundations from drying out completely.

We provided 5 submersible drainage pumps, four P2001 drainage pumps as well as one P701 pump. These pumps are perfect for dewatering all kinds of construction sites and their excellent pumping capacity means they can be used on a wide range of applications. As the work took place on a listed building, engineers had to be particularly cautious of the surrounding area. The intricate nature of the existing hydraulic system meant that the Sykes Pumps team had to be highly efficient and co-ordinated on site and complete the work in good time.]]>
