GB Rowing Team men’s eight qualify for Sunday’s final in Amsterdam

<![CDATA[With the World Rowing Championships now reaching the latter stages at Bosbaan, we are delighted to see that the GB Team have enjoyed much success over the last few days. After only the second day of competition, Great Britain was already guaranteed three final spots and these early triumphs ultimately set the tone for the races that followed.

All three para-rowing crews won their heats to advance to the final stage, while the lightweight men’s four won their heat in the afternoon session – rounding off a wonderful start for the British squad. And there was more to come, as the men’s eight rounded off an excellent showing on Wednesday by qualifying for Sunday’s showdown.

More medals followed on Thursday, as Great Britain’s para-rowing mixed coxed four team retained their title in style – coming home ahead of the USA. Tom Aggar then added silver in the arms-only single scull to complete another satisfying end to the day. The men’s quad also advanced to the final after overcoming Germany and Estonia, so there is plenty of cause for optimism ahead of the weekend.

As proud supporters of the GB Rowing Team, we take great pleasure in seeing them flourish in the Netherlands. Andrews Sykes previously provided all participants with portable air conditioning units in the run-up to the week-long contest, and are happy to have played a part in ensuring preparation ran smoothly.]]>
