<![CDATA[We are delighted to announce the procurement of a new, modern and larger property in Glasgow following months of due diligence.
As a result, we will be ceasing operations at our former depot in Anniesland imminently and are currently in the process of moving to 99 Bogleshole Road, Cambuslang, G72 7DD.
This strategic decision has been underpinned by an investment of approximately £1million and is driven by a desire to build on the success we have enjoyed in both Glasgow, and Scotland as a whole, in recent years.
We are confident that these new premises provide us with the perfect springboard from which to strengthen our market position, with these significantly improved facilities now very much aligned with our objectives moving forward.
Incorporating a state-of-the-art workshop, open plan office area, meeting/training room and 35,000 square feet of secured yard space, the depot itself acts as a central servicing & holding location for chillers and boilers – to the benefit of our many customers in Scotland and the north of England.
The relocation coincides with the expansion of our team in Glasgow, and we have recruited more members of staff who will be integral to the depot’s smooth day-to-day running.
To support the transition, we have also committed to additional capital outlay by expanding our hire fleet to ensure the depot is sufficiently stocked ahead of an anticipated surge in demand for our equipment.
In terms of location, our new site is conveniently situated a short distance from the Cambuslang Investment Park and is easily accessible thanks to the nearby M74, M73 and M8 road links.
Murray Stewart, Divisional Director for Scotland, said: “These are exciting times for Andrews Sykes and I have no doubts that our recent acquisition will prove to be a catalyst for the business to grow considerably in Scotland in the immediate future.
“This impressive facility becomes our flagship depot in Scotland and I am confident that clients will feel a knock-on effect in the form of quicker response times and an enhanced level of service in general.”
The new depot will officially open on 5 January 2022 but will begin handling local enquiries from as early as next week.]]>
