The use of air purification equipment is rapidly on the rise, with companies in most business sectors becoming increasingly keen to address legitimate concerns over poor air quality. It is well-known that exposure to particles and other pollutants can induce or aggravate respiratory illnesses, with the impact of COVID-19 further reinforcing that there is a huge market for air purifiers and cleaners.

Although simplistic in concept, modern air purification systems effectively combat a range of air quality issues and are a perfect solution to the following common problems:

  • Indoor pollution – the air in most indoor environments will hold particles that are harmful when inhaled, including carbon dioxide, dust and bacteria.
  • Allergens – these include pollen and dust mites but extend to any substance that can cause adverse immune responses, such as asthma.
  • Virus transmissions – scientific research has proven that deploying an air purifier can significantly reduce the likelihood of diseases – such as a coronavirus – spreading between people.
  • Smoke – although air purifiers won’t entirely eliminate smoke odours, they will remove smoke particulate from the air.

At Andrews, our range of air quality control equipment comprises of portable air purifiers, industrial air cleaners and high capacity ventilation fans which can be used as either standalone or combination solutions.

Air Purifier FAQs

What is an Air Purifier?

An air purifier is a device designed to clean the air inside an enclosed space by trapping and removing small airborne pollutants.

Almost certainly! Our air purification systems have been brought to market with most industries in mind, including offices, healthcare facilities, schools, restaurants, public buildings, leisure premises, hotels and just about any other environment where people can benefit from better indoor air quality.

In any instance where you are concerned about airborne contaminants, pollution levels or the possibility of viruses or diseases being transmitted within your building. Air purifiers are also effective in preventing the build-up of mould.

Our air purifiers work by drawing air through a two-tier filtration system, where dirty particles are initially trapped before being neutralised. This process prevents any by-products being released into the atmosphere and ensures 99.99% of all harmful contaminants are removed from the area in which the air purifier is deployed.

With a maximum noise level of just 49 dBA @ 1 metre, our units are quiet even when operating at their highest setting.

Conceptually, they are similar. However, while an air cleaner filters the air from contaminants, air purifiers go one step further by actually sanitising the air via UV-C germicidal lights that sit within a special oxidation chamber.

In a word, no. With an average power consumption of just 210W/h, our air purifiers are similar to modern televisions in terms of their electricity usage.

Yes! Both our air purifiers and our air cleaners are incredibly mobile, which means you can constantly redeploy them as and when required.

If you wish to create additional air changes, you have the option of using a ventilation hire arrangement to supplement your air purification or air cleaning units.

If you’re looking to improve air quality in a factory, warehouse, workshop or another similarly industrial application, then an air cleaner may be a more suitable choice.

Andrews’ air purifiers feature multiple air cleaning technologies, with air first passing through a pre filter, carbon filter and, finally, a HEPA (high efficiency particulate air) filter. The air is then guided through an oxidation chamber, where any particles present are neutralised.
